Character Personality:
Axel has afiery personality (Excuse the irony), he has a short temper and an even shorter attention span. He is quick to anger and will often burn first and ask questions later. Axels short temper easily leads him straight into trouble, weather it is life threatening danger in other worlds or to the scary attention of his superiors all depends on the circumstances.
Despite his bad temper Axel can be a loyal companion and friend and will even question his superiors in the name of friendship. Though weather friendship can exist for Axel or if it is just a desperate wish to feel emotions again is unknown. Though Axel claims that he can feel such things as friendship, he himself is not to sure if he can actually feel it.
Axel has a crud sense of humour finding peoples pain and suffering a bit of a joke, though when around Roxas he seems to soften and not be so harsh. Axel is deceptive and has an uncanny ability to lure people into a false sense of security before stabbing them in the back, literally and metaphorically speaking. He will rarely move without orders but will take matters into his own hands if he deems it fit. Axel is a bit arrogant and has no trouble believe in his own abilities.
Character History:
Axels somebody; Lea lived in Midgar in the world of Gaia. Lea was accepted to be trained as a Turk from the age of sixteen when he had proven himself an excellent fighter with a sharp mind and will to learn. Though Lea never completed the training. Lea focused his mind on his training as a Turk and during this time came to admire a fully trained Turk by the name of Reno and made it his goal to be as good and successful as Reno. Unfortunately he was never able to personally acquaint himself with Reno.
Lea was a prankster with an attitude problem and a cheeky personality. Some of these traits carried through into Axel, including a constant smirk. Lea was a bit of a Rebel and once again this trait carried through into his nobody years, along with been reprimanded by authorities.
Lea's fall from grace was his obsession with fire and lighting anything he could (including people) ablaze. Due to this problem he was put through a separate disciplinary training course that was meant to discourage him from setting things on fair. Despite passing the course Lea continued to have an obsession with fire and his life went into a downward spiral leading to his eventual dishonourable dismissal at the age of eighteen.
After been dismissed and seeing his life dream be cruelly pulled from his grasp Lea became solitary and angry often causing fires and killing dozens of people at a time. He also became a street fighter and fought with many drunks, gangs and other street fighters earning himself a name in the underground. Using the martial arts training he had obtained as a trainee Turk along with his own style, Lea rarely lost a fight and even today as Axel he still uses a simular strike and run technique only now he opts to disappear into a fire instead of hiding behind something.
A few months after his dismissal Midgar was attacked by heartless and Lea stood no chance against them, he lost his heart that night and for several days after the empty shell of him wondered the streets of Midgar unaware of who he was or where he had come from. He was eventually found by Xigbar and given the new name of Axel and taken to The-World-That-Never-Was where he became a member of the Organization.
At first Axel was quiet and seemed to show no special abilities, no matter what the Organization did Axel did not show any signs of having any unique powers nor weapons. It was only when he was about to be dismissed when his powers appeared, along with his memories. If it was the memory of been dismissed from the Turks was the reason for the sudden burst of power is unknown, but it is what Axel believes. He believes that the memories of losing everything overpowered him and released his powers over fire.
One of Axels greatest tasks in the Organization was when he was sent to Castle Oblivion and had to act as a double agent to identify which member(s) had betrayed Xemnas and the Organization. Axels task was made no easier by that fact that all of the Castle Oblivion members seemed to have their own little secrets and plans. Axel spent his time luring Marluxia and Larxene into a false sense of security by taking their side when confrontations with Vexen arose, and constantly following Marluxias orders. At the same time Axel helped Sora and his friends move through the castle by giving them hints and clues.
During his stay in Castle Oblivion Axels attention remained focused on Sora as the key blade master reminded him of his nobody Roxas. Axel put a lot of his attention and time into making sure Sora did not discover Roxas. This included eliminating Vexen under Marluxias orders. Even though this was a betrayal of the Organization its self Axel was able to use his murder of Vexen as a way to gain Marluxias trust and upon his return to Castle Oblivion learnt of Marluxias plans to over throw Xemnas. With his new found information Axel was able to set Namine free so she could help Sora defeat Marluxia. After the death of Larxene, Axel had a confrontation with Marluxia where he and Marluxia spoke of who was really the traitor before a short battle, after which Sora arrived and Axel fled.
After Castle Oblivion Axel returned to the Organization where life returned to normal for the next year. During this time Axel became close friends (maybe more) with Roxas the Organization thirteenth member. Sadly for Axel, Roxas became more and more curious about why he wielded the key blades and this led to Roxas leaving the Organization and hence betraying it and leaving Axel alone.
After several failed attempts of getting Roxas to return with him to the Organization, Axel betrayed the Organization and dedicated himself to finding a way to re-create Roxas and have his friend back. Eventually Axel gave up on this and joined Sora and his friends, and in a last act to help Sora and in turn Roxas, Axel sacrificed himself. While he lay dying Axel revealed to Sora how been with Roxas had made him feel as if he had a heart and how funny it was that Sora made him feel the same way.
Roleplaying Sample:
Axel sighed pressing himself against a wall and watching the people run past him that was close.too close. The residents of this world did not enjoy the company of a nobody but then again did any worlds enjoy it? Axel slid down the wall and onto the ground; he sat there for several minutes trying to catch his breath. Nobodies could not feel any emotion so he could not say he was scared, but if he had a heart it would have been pounding like no tomorrow right now.
Finally Axel stood up, he had to return and report to Xemnas, or Mansex as Axel had privately dubbed him along with the rest of the Organization. Leaning against the wall until he caught his balance Axel took a few quick breaths before opening a portal and walking into intending to return back to Never-was. Part of him dreaded returning to report failure to his superiors but the other part of him reminded him that he was incapable of feeling dread or any other emotions.
Axel stepped out of the portal and into the streets of Never-was, looking up he could see Kingdom Hearts glowing in all its glory, then looking either way he could see the old abandoned buildings of Never-Was. There was no way he was going to report to Xemnas yet, he was not ready to face his punishment for failure, nor was he ready to face the taunts of VII. Saix for some unknown reason had decided to make Axels non-existent life hell, and no one ever seemed to notice. Not even when Axel was bruised did he get any attention.
Xigbar had once asked why Axel was limping but all Axel got to say was Saixs name before the second member came up with a taunt that only warranted Axel more pain from Saix when he heard the rumour that they were going out. Maybe no longer been the newest member had angered Saix? Axel wasnt too sure but he was sure he hadnt done anything to warrant Saixs version of hate.
Axel broke into one of the abandoned buildings and found himself a bottle of whisky, Axel wasnt one to drink but in desperate times people (and nobodies) went to desperate measures and if that meant reporting to Xemnas drunk that is what Axel would do. Axel opened the bottle before throwing his head back and downing it in several mouth fulls, he then waited a few minutes to let the alcohol take affect before leaving to report to Xemnas.
